The book that is included with the set is great. While I understand why it is a 2 part bottle, after using it with some of the experiements (that ended up NOT working) I believe it was because the bottle was not air tight. We tried some of the experiements with a regular 2 liter bottle and they worked much better. I think it would work even better using a personal size, or smaller size soda bottle. Also, I would invest in some additional ballons, a gallon of vinager and a large container of baking soda. I purchased this for my 4 year old (I know he is a little young), but a lot of the experiments would need adult supervision.
This has so many science projects and my brother loves it. My only objection is that some of the projects call for a sealed bottle and this isn't air tight. We did a volcano type project and the mixture came out of the part where the top and bottom screws together. However, if you have a 2 Liter bottle laying around, it would fix its problem.
I purchased this for my 5 year old science loving nephew and it’s a lot of fun just make sure you have a few empty liter bottles (we used empty liter bottles of club soda so no sugary leftovers inside!).
Really cute and fun, but A LOT of the experiments require an additional pop bottle. I wish it came with a spare so I didn't have to feel like a wasteful person buying something just to dump it out... I don't drink soda, I am not sure what else I would do with it.
Did not include bottle, was a little disappointed. I could have misread but I'm not sure.
I personally think this is very cheap quality as the bottle broke the first time we used an experiment. but some of the ideas in the book are neat and I can use a regular pop bottle.
Stinks. Not as described. Very disappointed. I wish I could have returned it. The picture included the bottle and the book but it was the book only.
Not really what I expected...although one of my students loves the balloons that came with....
