I liked the structure of each chapter that moves between case studies, Bible study, and demonstrations of next steps. I think there could have been more examples of how changes can happen besides bringing in consultants for hours of coaching.

Good fun, and good tips from a Ukrainian that loves her country (which clearly shows in the writing) and takes a look at it from the outside.I have travelled in Ukraine and it is indeed an insane place - in the positive sense of the word. I love the country, I have enjoyed every single place I have visited, and I found perhaps a bit too much focus on what to be aware of - I have never had a bad experience, but I will probably be a bit more careful next time I go. I'm not sure that is the point of the book :-)For someone planning a quick trip to an often overlooked country, this is a great and handy little guide. Much recommended. And I need to go to Chernivtsi - that's my main take-away!

SPOT ON on beauty procedures in Ukraine. This is where I go from Danmark for all cosmetic procedures small and big. Bit a shame that doctors/cosmetologists don't speak English too good. But if you take a friend for translation, the salons/clinics will gladly serve foreign customer. That's sort of prestigeous for them :) You forgot to mention dental services that are cheep as dirt in copmarison with foreign prices. I am getting my superadvanced braces in Ukraine this summer thats for sure.Awesome giude!

This tiny book is a jewel. This is the second copy of the book that I purchased to give as a gift. The water color illustrations are inviting and beautifully executed. Any one who knows downtown Savannah will recognize some of the gates and gardens and those planning to visit the city will enjoy the guided tour and narrative the book provides. What a dreadful loss that this dear little book is no longer in print.

The combination of the exquisitely painted gates as illustration with the well-researched and intriguing facts about each gate make this book a simple MUST on any serious walking tour of the area. Ms. Cadorette's work is breathtaking; my only regret is the book is not larger to truly enjoy the love so obviously put into these paintings. She has made the already beautiful Savannah even more so, by carefully merging artistic creativity and local knowledge. After taking the walking tour myself, I would love to thank her for enriching my whole experience. (And for being so gracious as to sign my copy!)

A smallish sized yet quality paper and production book, Gates of Savannah is interesting reading, in that it tells the story behind each gate, including the craftsman who fashioned it. I especially wanted the book for the beautifully painted pictures of each gate. I love wrought iron, and the writer/artist captured some of the most beautiful gates and surrounding gardens we saw on our vacation to Savannah.

The author inserts some political opinions that are not relevant to her tour of gates. She also makes a few errors of fact in history. However, the paintings are lovely and it's fun to walk around with the book and look at the actual gate with the painting in hand. I take photographs, too.

This book is a great little guide book for a leisurely stroll thru the streets of Savannah. The artwork is very detailed and exquisite! These paintings catch the iron work gates and their surroundings during various times of the year. (A personal favorite is the house at Forsyth Park at Christmas time...)For those that live in Savannah, this is a great book to have on hand for your guests to use for a stroll around town. A great way to spend a few hours on a spring day to work up an appetite for all the great restaurants and pubs. (helps make room for those sinful desserts available all around town!)

This book is simply amazing. The pictures in here make you feel like you're standing in front of the gates of Savannah! There is even a little map inside the book so that, when you venture to Savannah, you can see all of the gates yourself! The history of the gates keeps me going back to this book again and again. You should definatley get this book!

(The cover that is appearing for my review is not the one on the book or audio I had.) Again, I found the research impressive, and the story riveting. The head-hopping continued, and I noticed a few mispronounced words. “Julius,” the male slave, also sounded too much like “Julia,” Marcus’s sister, most of the time. I loved how this one ended, but the last part, where it just told about what happened to the family, should have been worked into story form and not just recounted.

This is the second book in a series and with the teaser at the end of the first book, you can't help but want to read the second. The main characters from the first book are still there (those that survived) and the addition of new characters only serves to give you more characters to care about.Francine Rivers does not follow all the rules of Christian fiction... and in not doing so, her work is fascinating, makes you think about what kind of person you are or could be, and gives you hope.You'll want to forego sleep reading this one.

My pastor loaned the 1st book in this trilogy to me, and after about 20 pages of it, I ordered the remaining 2 books from Amazon. I've never read anything so in depth with how I imagine events actually took place in that era, as well as the emotional upheaval that these characters experienced. I could find nothing wrong with the historical flow either. I can hardly wait to read the last one.

I often buy books for my wife, who is an avid reader. This book came well recommended by other reviewers so I bought the series. After reading the book, my wife insisted that I read it also. While it is my opinion that these books are written for women, I was surprised at how good of a read it was. I have never been a big fan of Christian fiction, mostly because the characters never seemed real to me. Even the sinners in the books had high moral standards that didn't fit the character. As an example, the pilot and the flight attendant in the first Left Behind book had been involved for months, but had never been intimate. It didn't seem real in the book or the movie. Ms Rivers paints characters with real human feelings, desires, weaknesses as well as strengths. The sinners engage in sinful acts, but without the lurid details of common fiction. There is action, violence and blood in the book that paints the people of Rome as history has shown them to be.

It is a rare find when a sequel is as good as the original, but Francine Rivers has succeeded admirably with her second installment of this trilogy in AN ECHO IN THE DARK. After reading the first one, I knew I had to read on, but never expected this book to be as good. I don't read a lot of fiction, but have a strong feeling there will be many books by this superb writer in my future.God gives us each unique gifts in life, and he gave Francine Rivers the blessed gift of writing. She has recognized her gift and deftly uses it to glorify Christ by witnessing through her stories. I do not believe it is possible to read either of these first books of this trilogy without them strengthening ones faith, or perhaps even altering your life altogether. That's how profound these books truly are.I don't want to give away too much of the story, but readers here will most likely have already the first installment, so I will say that Rivers will make your heart ache for Hadassah's identity to be revealed, only to keep your incessantly turning page after page, mired in anguish and crying out for her precious soul to be rewarded. Throughout this book, as in the first, your emotions will run high as you smile, you cry, you rejoice in the glory of God as others accept His salvation.I anxiously await the third and final installment in this trilogy, as well as exploring other works by this author. The father who previously rejected thebaby too now wants claim. Its about the journey she takes as the child's mom with the father as they all become Christians.

Bought to give as a Christmas present for my daughter who enjoys singing and Broadway shows. The anthology has many familiar tunes and quite a few that are lesser known. After opening the gift she immediately went to the piano and started playing and singing along. Great gift at a good price.

Love this collection for my teen students. In addition to the many wonderful song cuts in this book, the book contains helpful notes for young singers on how to select an audition song.

My daughter loved it!

This book is the only audition cut book I have found that includes accompaniment tracks. It has tons of songs to chose from and organizes them into useful indexes. There is something in here for every age and ability. My students use this book frequently. I love it!

I can honestly say that this book has a lot to choose from! But there was a lot of musicals that I don't know about. That's why I gave it 4 stars. It comes with CDs to practice with and it's fantastic! If you are a musical junky, I highly recommend this book!
